Crowds flocked to the annual Kingaroy Christmas Carnival on Thursday to see Santa and have fun … but the real star on the night was the Glendon Street precinct, revamped as part of the Kingaroy Transformation Project.<\/p>\n

The car park area was filled with amusement rides and carnival stalls.<\/p>\n

It’s the second year the event has been held in the precinct, but this year the arrangements really seemed to click.<\/p>\n

The festive fun flowed seamlessly across the centre of the street into the Town Hall Forecourt where there were chairs laid out on the grass for the people to relax while watching the live performances.<\/p>\n

The whole precinct was buzzing with excitement, with children (and parents) rushing around, checking out stalls and queueing for food.<\/p>\n

The dodgem cars were very popular, as was the giant slide, which was tucked in behind the Glendon Street shops.<\/p>\n

Other highlights included the Rotary Club’s traditional ham wheel, a live performance by local singing star Julee-anne Bell and displays by students from local dance schools.<\/p>\n

There were also special appearances by Chase and Skye, from Paw Patrol, who were keen to pose for photos.<\/p>\n
