December 13, 2023<\/strong><\/p>\n

Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington has congratulated local brothers, Zac and Alex Farmilo, on receiving one of her “Local Hero Grants”.<\/p>\n

Mrs Frecklington said Zac and Alex were working hard achieve in their sport of middle-distance running and the grants would help their family with travel costs to competitions in Brisbane or on the coast.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Farmilo brothers are in the process of making the required race times to reach the Athletics Australia Nationals in Adelaide next year, so on most weekends they travel to events outside of our region to give themselves every opportunity of making the team,\u201d Mrs Frecklington said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m so glad my Local Hero Grant will make a difference and help give Zac and Alex the best chance at reaching their sporting goals.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is Round 21 of my Local Hero Grants and I was inundated with so many excellent applications.<\/p>\n
