Joshua Fearby hit 41 valuable runs for Kingaroy Services Blue at Nanango last Saturday<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Kingaroy Services Blue proved too strong for Nanango Scorpions in their South Burnett senior cricket match at Alan Downie Sportsfields, Nanango, last Saturday.<\/p>\n

Kingaroy won the toss and elected to bat.<\/p>\n

At the end of their 40 overs, they were 6\/199.<\/p>\n

Captain Glenn Kelly top-scored with 44 runs, with Josh Fearby not far behind with 41.<\/p>\n

Fearby was caught and bowled by Nanango’s slow – and tall – bowler Matthew Badesso, who also tempted Trevor Black to get out the same way.<\/p>\n

Badesso finished with 2\/33 off seven overs.<\/p>\n

Nicholas Scherger (2\/17 off\u00a0 eight) and Brett Burrows (2\/31 off five) finished with the best bowling figures for Scorpions.<\/p>\n

In reply, Nanango were all out for 118 in the 27th over.<\/p>\n

Jay Steinhardt (36) and Rory O\u2019Connor (31) were the top scorers.<\/p>\n

Josh Fearby (4\/30 off 5.2) and Glenn Culling (2\/7 off two) were the pick of the Kingaroy bowlers.<\/p>\n

Other SB Senior Results<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Murgon Diggers (4\/253) defeated Wondai Wolves (3\/242) by six wickets at Wondai Cricket Ground, despite a century knock by Wolves’ Lyndon Hopkins who scored 141 runs off 97 balls.<\/strong><\/p>\n

For Murgon, Jayden Heness was undefeated on 68 while Troy Litzow finished with 51 runs, which included eight boundaries.<\/p>\n

Tingoora Vikings (7\/222) continued their unbeaten run in the 2023-24 competition by downing Kingaroy Services Orange (8\/121) by 101 runs\u00a0 at Taabinga State School.<\/p>\n

Wooroolin Warriors (6\/171) defeated Tingoora Huntsmen (160 all out) by four wickets at Tingoora Sportsground.<\/p>\n
