{"id":340652,"date":"2023-11-16T21:55:49","date_gmt":"2023-11-16T11:55:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/?p=340652"},"modified":"2023-11-16T23:23:39","modified_gmt":"2023-11-16T13:23:39","slug":"tmr-schedules-road-repairs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/2023\/11\/16\/tmr-schedules-road-repairs\/","title":{"rendered":"TMR Schedules Road Repairs"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_293791\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-293791\" style=\"width: 740px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-293791\" src=\"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/20210201roadworks.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"740\" height=\"460\" srcset=\"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/20210201roadworks.jpg 740w, https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/20210201roadworks-300x186.jpg 300w, https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/20210201roadworks-269x167.jpg 269w, https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/20210201roadworks-285x177.jpg 285w, https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/20210201roadworks-340x211.jpg 340w, https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/20210201roadworks-263x163.jpg 263w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 740px) 100vw, 740px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-293791\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">DTMR have released a list of the roads they&#8217;ll be carrying out flood repairs on over the next two years<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>November 16, 2023<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Department of Transport and Main Roads has released details of flood repairs which will be undertaken on local roads over the next 12 months.<\/p>\n<p>The aim is to make the targeted sites more resilient to future severe weather events and to protect roads from flood damage.<\/p>\n<p>Works will include culvert repairs and pavement rehabilitation as well as other flood repairs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In the South Burnett Regional Council area, flood repair work was scheduled to begin in late 2023, and take about 12 months to complete, on the following roads:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>D&#8217;Aguilar Highway (Kilcoy-Yarraman)<\/li>\n<li>D&#8217;Aguilar Highway (Yarraman-Kingaroy)<\/li>\n<li>Burnett Highway (Nanango-Goomeri)<\/li>\n<li>Bunya Highway (Dalby-Kingaroy)<\/li>\n<li>Bunya Highway (Kingaroy-Goomeri)<\/li>\n<li>Kingaroy-Cooyar Road<\/li>\n<li>Chinchilla-Wondai Road<\/li>\n<li>Kingaroy-Burrandowan Road<\/li>\n<li>Nanango-Tarong Road<\/li>\n<li>Mundubbera-Durong Road<\/li>\n<li>Wondai-Proston Road<\/li>\n<li>Murgon-Barambah Road<\/li>\n<li>Murgon-Gayndah Road<\/li>\n<li>Kilcoy-Murgon Road<\/li>\n<li>Bunya Mountains Road<\/li>\n<li>Maidenwell-Bunya Mountains Road<\/li>\n<li>Kingaroy-Barkers Creek Road<\/li>\n<li>Memerambi-Gordonbrook Road<\/li>\n<li>Proston-Boondooma Road<\/li>\n<li>Okeden Road<\/li>\n<li>Byee Road<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As well, betterment work has been scheduled on concrete batters at Barambah Creek on the Burnett Highway.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In the Gympie Regional Council area flood repair work was scheduled to begin in 2024, and take about 12 months to complete, for the following roads:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Burnett Highway (Nanango-Goomeri)<\/li>\n<li>Burnett Highway (Goomeri-Gayndah)<\/li>\n<li>Wide Bay Highway (Gympie-Goomeri)<\/li>\n<li>Murgon-Gayndah Road<\/li>\n<li>Kilkivan-Tansey Road<\/li>\n<li>Brooweena-Woolooga Road<\/li>\n<li>Bauple-Woolooga Road<\/li>\n<li>Kilcoy-Murgon Road<\/li>\n<li>Gympie-Woolooga Road<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As well, betterment work has been schedued for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Burnett Highway (Nanango-Goomeri) &#8211; Road rehabilitation and concrete batter protection<\/li>\n<li>Bauple-Woolooga Road &#8211; additional abutment and batter protection at Wide Bay Creek<\/li>\n<li>Murgon-Gayndah Road &#8211; concrete batter protection<\/li>\n<li>Wide Bay Highway (Gympie-Goomeri) &#8211; Additional batter protection upstream of abutment to protect from high-velocity flows from the Mary River at Bells Bridge<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Department of Transport and Main Roads has released details of flood repairs which will be undertaken on local roads over the next 12 months.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":20,"featured_media":293791,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[3],"tags":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v19.11 -
