Ghouls and ghosties, witches and warlocks – and even a mummy or two – were spotted wandering Nanango streets on Tuesday night as part of the town’s annual Halloween celebration.<\/p>\n

They were all heading for one spot … Little Drayton Street.<\/p>\n

Nanango’s annual Halloween night is organised by Cr Jane Erkens and is sponsored by the Nanango Tourism and Development Association (NaTDA).<\/p>\n

It’s mainly for the kids, but it’s surprising how many adults were also dressed up for some spooky fun.<\/p>\n

There were prizes to be won for dancing (the Time Warp, anyone?) as well as best costumes.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Volunteer witches were also handing out bags of lollies (420 all up) and ice blocks, a necessary treat on a warm spring night.<\/p>\n

Cr Erkens thanked the handful of volunteers who had slaved in the hot weather to put up all the decorations outside The Shed.<\/p>\n

“It wouldn’t be possible without this small band of helpers,” she said.<\/p>\n
