Victorian grain producer David Jochinke has been elected president of the National Farmers\u2019 Federation.<\/p>\n

This follows the resignation of Fiona Simson who has stepped down after seven years in the role.<\/p>\n

Mr Jochinke has served as vice-president of the NFF since 2017, and was previously president of the Victorian Farmers\u2019 Federation from 2016-2020.<\/p>\n

West Australian farmer John Hassall has been elected vice-president.<\/p>\n

Queensland cotton producer Hamish McIntyre has been elected as a director.<\/p>\n

Mr Jochinke paid tribute to Fiona Simson for her years of service to the sector.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cFiona leaves an incredible legacy that will resonate for years to come,” he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s left nothing on the table, and her considered, collaborative and engaging leadership has left farmers everywhere in a far stronger position.”<\/p>\n
