October 18, 2023<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nanango’s annual four-day celebration of everything 1950s, Waterhole Rocks, is taking over the Nanango Showgrounds again this week.<\/p>\n

There are already 400 caravans and campervans booked in for the 10th anniversary event … a far cry from the 37 which attended the first festival in 2012.<\/p>\n

The special dancefloor has already been laid, ready for the dancers who will officially take to the floor on Thursday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As well as the dancing, there’ll be market stalls, a car and vintage caravan show’n’shine, fashion competition and lots of live entertainment.<\/p>\n

Entertainment this year includes:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    • The Dodgie Rockers – 9:30am-1:30pm<\/li>\n
    • Little Stevie and the Tailfins – 1:45pm-5:45pm<\/li>\n
    • Dance On –\u00a06:30pm-10:30pm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      SATURDAY<\/strong><\/p>\n

      • Rock n Roll Boys – 9:00am-12:30pm<\/li>\n
      • Kenny and the Nitro Rockers – 1:00pm-5:00pm<\/li>\n
      • The Blue Suede Band – 6:30pm-10:30pm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        SUNDAY<\/strong><\/p>\n

          \n
        • Jeff Hancox – 8:00pm-9:00am (Gospel music)<\/li>\n
        • RocknRollaBillys – 9:00am-12:45pm<\/li>\n
        • Johnny B followed by competition presentations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          The on-site canteen will be operating across the festival as well as a spit roast on Thursday night (bookings necessary).<\/p>\n

          A four-day pass costs $55.<\/p>\n

          For earlybirds, on Wednesday night,\u00a0 the South Burnett Gas Guzzlers car club will be offering a barbecue at their clubhouse in the showgrounds.<\/strong><\/p>\n

          Food and drinks will available for purchase from 5:30pm-7:00pm.<\/p>\n

          There’ll be live entertainment in the main pavilion by Jeff Hancox and Johnny B from 7:00pm.<\/p>\n

          The Waterhole Rocks is sponsored by the Heritage Community Branch in Nanango.<\/p>\n
