Nina Temperton was named Honorary Patron of South Burnett CTC at the not-for-profit association’s annual general meeting in Kingaroy on Thursday night.<\/p>\n

The former CEO, who retired earlier this month, completed her last formal duties with the organisation, as secretary at the AGM.<\/p>\n

Board chair John Box thanked Mrs Temperton for her 31 years of service to CTC, and welcomed new CEO Jason Erbacher.<\/p>\n

He also announced that the acronym “CTC” would now stand for “Contributing To Community” as this better reflected what the group does.<\/p>\n

Mr Box said it had been a very special year for CTC, as the association was celebrating its 40th birthday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mrs Temperton, delivering her last report, said the first meeting of CTC had been chaired by Warren Truss, who was then Kingaroy Shire Council chairman.<\/p>\n

“We have come a long way,” she said.<\/p>\n

She said the past 12 months had been “nothing short of spectacular” for CTC.<\/p>\n

Before the pandemic, the Board had taken a thorough look at everything the group did and the way it was done.<\/p>\n

This had resulted in a new structure, which Mr Erbacher and the senior management team had implemented during the last financial year.<\/p>\n

But despite this – and the fact it had been a really tough three years – CTC’s clients had “never played second fiddle” during any of the changes.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Public officer Howard Leisemann, who has served in this role for 36 years, resigned from the position, handing over the role to Mr Erbacher.<\/p>\n

Two Board members resigned: Nina Temperton and Jo Gadischke; and three new faces were elected: Amanda Kefford, Kat Butcher and Jason Erbacher.<\/p>\n

All the other Board members were re-elected: Howard Leisemann, John Box, Marc Reinbott, Kaylene Schilf, Bernadette Upton, Maurie Freeman and Andrew Hobbs.<\/p>\n

The AGM was told CTC had spent $19 million during the past 12 months in the South Burnett alone, and $16.3 million in wages.<\/p>\n
