Incoming CEO Jason Erbacher receives the keys from retiring CEO Nina Temperton<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Former South Burnett CTC CEO Nina Temperton formally handed the keys to the kingdom over to incoming CEO Jason Erbacher at “CTC Day” on Thursday.<\/p>\n

The annual event, which this year was held at CTC’s headquarters at the South Burnett Enterprise Centre in Kingaroy, always brings together hundreds of CTC staff members to acknowledge achievements over the past 12 months, have some fun and join together in team-building exercises.<\/p>\n

CTC recently took over ownership of the South Burnett Enterprise Centre, so this year the employees turned their hands to some beautification activities at 6 Cornish Street.<\/p>\n

There was cleaning, painting, gardening and tree planting mixed in with lunch, awards presentations and some live music.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The day provided an opportunity for CTC workers to farewell Nina, who is retiring after 31 years with the organisation.<\/p>\n

It also was a chance to acknowledge the not-for-profit organisation’s 40th birthday.<\/p>\n

Memorabilia from across the years, including various team shirts, photos and news clippings were on display.<\/p>\n

As usual, a staff member from each CTC department was presented with a Team award, voted on by their colleagues.<\/p>\n

However, the prestigious Howard Leisemann STAR Award \u2013 recognising \u201cService, Teamwork, Attitude and Reliability\u201d \u2013 was presented to two employees for the first time.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lizz Geppert (Gumnut Place) and Shaun Bliesner (Corporate Services) were each presented with a trophy by Nina.<\/p>\n

The STAR award is named in honour of former CTC chairman Howard Leisemann who led the organisation for more than 25 years.<\/p>\n

It recognises an employee who has consistently demonstrated STAR qualities over a long period.<\/p>\n
