Saint Mary’s Catholic College students enjoyed a perfect Spring evening for their 2023 formal dinner at Kingaroy Town Hall on Friday night.<\/p>\n

Unlike some previous years – and what Nanango students faced recently – the rain stayed away, ensuring the Glendon Street Forecourt was packed with proud family members and friends.<\/p>\n

Students arrived in a mixture of classic autos (mostly Chevys or Holdens) but two prime movers really stole the show … one from Haydon Freighters and an after-dark special from Gleich Contracting.<\/p>\n

The Year 12 students and their partners waved to the livestream camera before parading down a new 30m carpet bought especially for the occasion.<\/strong><\/p>\n

There were sequins, glitter and even a kilt (believed to be a St Mary’s formal first!)<\/p>\n

The students and their partners were introduced to the crowd by comperes Damien Martoo and teacher Alyssa Thomas.<\/p>\n

Alyssa, who teaches Prep as well as Year 5, said she had known many of the graduating Year 12s since they started school.<\/p>\n
