Wondai supporters had double reasons to celebrate on Saturday after two Wolves’ teams hoisted Grand Final trophies at Wondai Sportsground.<\/p>\n

The Under 16s girls team defeated Fraser Coast Crushers 36-12 in their Grand Final.<\/p>\n

A couple of hours later, the Wolves’ A Grade women’s team downed the Crushers’ senior side 24-14.<\/p>\n

The two Grand Finals wrapped up a hectic season of travelling for the players in the Wide Bay Female competition, which also included teams from Cherbourg and Bundaberg.<\/p>\n

A Grade Grand Final<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

The A Grade Grand Final capped off a 12-round series for Wondai’s “She-Wolves”.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Wondai went into the game as favourites after finishing as Minor Premiers.<\/p>\n

They lost just one game throughout the season, ironically to fellow South Burnett team Cherbourg in Round 3.<\/p>\n

Fraser Coast opened the scoring when Kayla Baldwin crossed the line and then converted her own try.<\/p>\n

But 10 minutes later, Ellen Mosby hit back for Wondai and Traevonnah Fisher’s conversion evened the scores.<\/p>\n

The two teams then swapped tries again, leaving the scoreline locked at 10-all at half-time.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fraser Coast was again first to score after the break, with Keysha Baker crossing, but the rest of the half belonged to the Wolves who notched up three unanswered tries – including a length-of-the-field effort to Sophia Fisher – plus a penalty goal.<\/p>\n

The final score was 24-14.<\/p>\n

Wondai try scorers were Sophia Fisher (3), Ellen Mosby and\u00a0 Holly Patton. Traevonnah Fisher kicked one conversion and a penalty goal.<\/p>\n

Fraser Coast tries were scored by Kayla Baldwin, Olepa Vervuurt and Keysha Baker. Kayla Baldwin kicked one goal.<\/p>\n

Under 16s Grand Final<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

The Under 16s Grand Final clash between Wondai and Fraser Coast was played earlier in the afternoon.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Taya Solomon opened the scoring for Wondai within a minute of kick-off.<\/p>\n

Two minutes later, Bella Barrett scored the first of her two tries for the afternoon.<\/p>\n

Summer Sullivan converted both, and suddenly the Wolves were ahead 12-nil within minutes of the start.<\/p>\n

But Fraser Coast quickly hit back, scoring two unconverted tries of their own before Wondai’s Draysharn Arnold took the Wolves to a 16-8 lead at half-time.<\/p>\n

After the break, the Crushers were again the first to draw blood, but Wondai then scored four more times.<\/p>\n

The final score was 36-12.<\/p>\n

Wondai try scorers were: Bella Barrett (2), Draysharn Arnold (2), Taya Solomon, Summer Sullivan and Rehanna Fisher. Summer Sullivan and Rehanna Fisher kicked two goals each.<\/p>\n

Fraser Coast’s three try scorers included Alexis Nadort.<\/p>\n
