Eleven fire crews were called on Thursday afternoon to a vegetation fire burning in the Charlestown area near Wondai.<\/p>\n

A QFES spokesperson said that at 4:00pm, firefighters were working on a containment line on the south-western edge of the fire.<\/p>\n

A bulldozer and a grader had been brought in to cut a firebreak around the fire.<\/p>\n

At the same time as the Charlestown blaze, four fire crews were in action at a fire near Durong.<\/p>\n

QFES issued a “Stay Informed” bushfire alert to local residents about this incident at 4:04pm.<\/p>\n

The fire was burning between Chinchilla-Wondai Road and Broad Creek Road but no properties were in danger when the alert was issued. \u200e<\/p>\n
