Police have collected 90Gb of data so far while investigating alleged sexual assaults in the Moffatdale area.<\/p>\n

The matter was mentioned briefly in Murgon Magistrates Court on Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n

A 41-year-old Moffatdale man, who cannot be named by law, is on bail and was not required to appear.<\/p>\n

He has been charged with 11 counts of rape, two counts of sexual assault, two counts of indecent treatment of children under 16 and one count of attempted indecent treatment of a child under 16 (procurement).<\/p>\n

No plea has been entered.<\/p>\n

Police prosecutor Sergeant Barry Stevens said police had gathered about 90Gb of evidence so far “and it’s still going” .<\/strong><\/p>\n

He sought an adjournment so the data could be processed.<\/p>\n

Magistrate Andrew Sinclair commented “that’s more data than I have collected in my whole life, so I’m pretty sure it must be video”.<\/p>\n

The matter was adjourned to October 3.<\/p>\n
