August 11, 2023<\/strong><\/p>\n

Wondai Regional Art Gallery’s August exhibition features hundreds of stunning works by the South Burnett’s youngest up-and-coming artists.<\/p>\n

The annual Bendigo Bank Junior Art Competition has taken over the gallery.<\/p>\n

More than 300 entries were submitted, including at least 65 from Murgon State High School alone.<\/p>\n

They were judged as 2D or 3D artworks across four age categories.<\/p>\n

And there were cash prizes!<\/strong><\/p>\n

The winners in the 4-6 Years and 7-11 Years categories took home $50 (1st), $30 (2nd) and $20 (3rd).<\/p>\n

In the 12-15 Years and 16-18 Years categories, prizes were $100 (1st), $60 (2nd) and $40 (3rd).<\/p>\n

The gallery was packed for the opening night last Friday, with more than 100 proud parents and friends turning up for the prize presentations.<\/p>\n

The exhibition will remain on show at the gallery until August 27.<\/p>\n

Entry is free.<\/p>\n
