The first of the South Burnett Regional Council’s three “Grooving In The Gardens” free, outdoor live music events attracted a good crowd to Ringsfield House’s gardens on Sunday.<\/p>\n

People gathered under the shade sails to listen to The Hinterlanders band play on the verandah of the coach house at the rear of the historic building in Nanango.<\/p>\n

Residents relaxed on folding chairs and enjoyed picnic lunches which they had brought along with them.<\/p>\n

Cr Jane Erkens said the music started at 11:00am and ran until 2:00pm, with people dropping in for various lengths of times.<\/p>\n

“We probably had more than 200 people there across the day; people were coming and going,” Cr Erkens said.<\/p>\n

The next free concert in the “Grooving In The Gardens” series will be held at Ringsfield on Sunday, September 3, with the Gidgee Pickers.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Then on Sunday, October 8, the Swing Beans will be entertaining on Ringsfield’s lawns.<\/p>\n

“Grooving In The Gardens” is being supported by the jointly funded State \/ Federal Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements.<\/p>\n
