A toilet block at Nanango’s Butter Factory Park has been damaged again by mindless vandalism.<\/p>\n

Words and symbols were sprayed on walls and mirrors late last week.<\/p>\n

Local councillor Jane Erkens said she was appalled by the latest damage, which comes on top of similar incidents in Nanango and Blackbutt over recent months.<\/p>\n

“I am concerned because fixing this vandalism comes out of the pockets of our ratepayers,” Cr Erkens said.<\/p>\n

“Other things suffer because we have to repair this vandalism.”<\/p>\n

South Burnett Regional Council CEO Mark Pitt said these incidents affected everyone in the community.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cSenseless acts of vandalism and graffiti impact all within our community from the cost of repair and removal of the graffiti to the loss of services and playground equipment whilst the clean-up takes place,” Mr Pitt said.<\/p>\n

“Council reports all such incidents to the police and will prosecute wherever possible.<\/p>\n

“Community support of reporting suspicious activity to Police Link on 131-444 is greatly appreciated and welcome.\u201d<\/p>\n
