Wondai Hospital\u2019s Jack Christoffel has been awarded a $35,000 scholarship to study to become a Registered Nurse.<\/p>\n

Jack has worked at Wondai\u2019s Forest View Aged Care facility as an Assistant in Nursing for the past seven years.<\/p>\n

He was prompted to begin training for a career as a registered nurse after a conversation with a colleague.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur acting Director of Nursing Amelia Simpkins, as well as our Clinical Facilitator, told me about the possible scholarship opportunities that are available through the Australian College of Nursing,\u201d Jack said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I found out the scholarship applications had opened, I applied that same day.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cIt is going to be so helpful for me. It will mean I will still have some work\/life balance while studying and completing placements.\u201d<\/p>\n

In his current role, Jack looks after the residents\u2019 everyday care needs, and he’s looking forward to drawing upon his experiences in his new role as a Registered Nurse.<\/p>\n
