The speed limit through Woolooga will drop August<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The speed limit on Bauple-Woolooga Road through Woolooga will be reduced to 50km\/h in August.<\/p>\n

“This Town Entry Treatment and speed reduction will improve safety for the Woolooga community and road users,” Transport and Main Roads Southern Queensland Regional Director Bill Lansbury said.<\/p>\n

“Our safety team undertook a review of the speed limit taking several important factors into account including crash history, traffic volumes, types of road users, the geography of the road and its role in the road network.<\/p>\n

“The findings were presented to the local Speed Management Committee, consisting of representatives from Transport and Main Roads, Queensland Police Service and Gympie Regional Council, which endorsed the changed speed limit.<\/p>\n

“I urge all motorists to look out for the new speed signs and be aware of the changed 50km\/h speed limit.<\/p>\n

“I also want to remind motorists to always drive to the conditions and reduce their speed in wet weather or other adverse conditions.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
