Booking’s for Sunday’s “Mayor’s Community Breakfast” at Dusty Hill winery at Moffatdale will close this afternoon.<\/p>\n

The breakfast features a talk by former Olympic swimmer and world record holder, Julie McDonald.<\/p>\n

South Burnett\u2019s Relay for Life fund-raising efforts will also receive a boost from the funds raised.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur charity of choice for this month\u2019s Mayor\u2019s Breakfast is one that is close to my heart. I am sure almost everyone in the region knows of\u00a0someone who has been effected by cancer,\u201d South Burnett Mayor Wayne Kratzmann said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are holding it at Dusty Hill Winery this month. Joe Prendergast from Dusty Hill approached me after\u00a0the first Mayor\u2019s Community breakfast and suggested holding one on a Sunday at the winery for those\u00a0businesses that have been unable to attend previous week-day community breakfasts.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are scheduled to have more of a brunch than a breakfast this month. And considering it\u2019s at a\u00a0winery, there may be some jolly souls by lunch time.\u201d<\/p>\n

More than 25 people have already bought a ticket for the breakfast which is being held from 9:00am to noon.<\/p>\n

Tickets are $40 and will be on sale until 3:00pm today. \u00a0<\/p>\n
