Two South Burnett finalists have brought home trophies from the Darling Downs and South West Region finals of the Queensland Training Awards, held on Friday night in Toowoomba.<\/p>\n

Tarong Power Station employee Chloe Chudleigh was presented with the prestigious Bob Marshman Trainee of the Year regional award.<\/p>\n

Chloe completed a Certificate IV in Business at Stanwell Corporation through the corporation’s apprentice and trainee program.<\/p>\n

She initiated the automation of vehicle checks via a QR code which helped Stanwell transition into a paperless environment.<\/p>\n

Chloe also has a passion for volunteering and promoting opportunities for women in the resource industry by taking leadership roles, such as with the Inclusion and Diversity Tarong Power Stations Working Group.<\/p>\n

The second South Burnett winner was Sabastian Fisher who completed a Certificate I in Workplace Skills through SkillCentred at Cherbourg.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sabastian was presented with the Equity Student of the Year regional trophy.<\/p>\n

Seven other South Burnett finalists (see list, below) were presented with finalists’ certificates.<\/p>\n

The regional winners will now go on to compete at the State Final in September and the opportunity to compete for national titles at the Australian Training Awards in November.<\/p>\n
