South Burnett Regional Council is in the process of negotiating a new agreement with local tourism organisation, Visit South Burnett (VSB).<\/p>\n

The agreement, for 12 months, will support VSB’s staff and volunteers “to continue to thrive and work toward financial sustainability and independence”.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson said Council was also updating its Discover South Burnett website<\/a> <\/strong>to ensure the information focuses on Council-owned and controlled assets, including the Boondooma and Bjelke-Petersen Dam caravan and recreation parks.<\/p>\n

The website will include links to the Visit South Burnett website<\/a><\/strong> that focuses on promoting tourist businesses in the region.<\/p>\n

The spokesperson reminded local residents they can enjoy a 10 per cent discount at the dams if they book at non-peak times.<\/p>\n

Cr Jane Erkens said Council would continue to promote and operate the various Council-owned Visitor Information Centres, museums and art galleries throughout the region.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n
