July 10, 2023<\/strong><\/p>\n

Applications for 100 scholarships being offered by TAFE Queensland are now open.<\/p>\n

Each recipient will receive $5000 to study any Certificate III through to an Advanced Diploma or Bachelor Degree from over 60 campus locations – including Kingaroy and Cherbourg – across Queensland or online.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0 scholarships will help cover the costs of course fees, text books and living expenses.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe know the power vocational education and training has to change people\u2019s lives and we want to help people fulfil their career potential regardless of their circumstances,\u201d TAFE Queensland Interim CEO John Tucker said said.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThere are two types of scholarships available.<\/p>\n

“Merit scholarships (are) aimed at supporting people who have demonstrated strong levels of achievement to advance their careers.<\/p>\n

“Access and Equity scholarships are designed to help students who are battling social or financial hardship.”<\/p>\n

To be eligible, applicants must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident and must begin study in Semester 1, 2024, or be an existing TAFE Queensland first year apprentice at the time of submitting the application.<\/p>\n

Applications close on September 29.<\/p>\n
