South Burnett Saints clocked up their first victory of the season last Saturday, downing the Toowoomba Tigers at Lyle Vidler Oval in Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

The Saints’ men – emboldened by the return of James Packer to their ranks – were ahead 11.11-77 to 6.12-48 at full-time, after leading at every change.<\/p>\n

Saints’ goals were kicked by Jack Mines (2), Brad Pressnell, Fletcher Brown, Jake Miles, James Packer, Jeremy Zaccardi, Kelly Salmon, Mick Freeman, Nathan Trace and Ned O’Connor.<\/p>\n

This Saturday, the Saints will hit the road again, taking on the Warwick Redbacks at Warwick, while the U14s will be in action against the Tigers in Toowoomba.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Saints’ women’s next game will be in Kingaroy on July 15 as part of the club’s big Heritage Day celebrations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
