Kingaroy detectives have charged a 22-year-old man in relation to the alleged violent robbery of a woman in the Kingaroy Shoppingworld car park on June 30.<\/p>\n

About 1:40pm, a 22-year-old woman working as a disability support carer was with her client in the car park.<\/p>\n

Police will allege she was approached by a man who grabbed the car keys from her hands, before he tried to steal her vehicle.<\/p>\n

The woman approached the man as he entered the driver\u2019s seat but he allegedly tried to close the door, slamming her hands and arms.<\/p>\n

The man then allegedly ran from the scene, dropping the car keys.<\/p>\n

The woman suffered minor injuries in the incident.<\/strong><\/p>\n

After extensive investigations, police executed a search warrant at a Cherbourg address on Wednesday (July 5) where a 22-year-old man was taken into custody.<\/p>\n

Police will allege cannabis and drug utensils were also located at the address.<\/p>\n

The man has been charged with robbery with violence, attempted unlawful use of a motor vehicle, possessing dangerous drugs and possessing drug utensils.<\/p>\n

He was expected to appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on Thursday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
