The LNP Opposition says almost a third of Darling Downs Health patients are not seeing specialists within the clinically recommended time.<\/p>\n

On April 1, there were 9533 patients waiting to see a specialist but the LNP says that “due to the chaos and crisis of the Palaszczuk Labor Government”, 2791 of these had not been seen within the clinically recommended time.<\/p>\n

The figures are from Queensland Health’s specialist outpatient waitlist.<\/p>\n

“That means 29 per cent of locals waiting for their appointment are waiting longer than they should,” Shadow Health Minister Ros Bates said.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cAs a registered nurse and former hospital administrator, I know how frustrating it is for patients who are forced to wait years before seeing a specialist.<\/p>\n
