The old Yarraman Showgrounds was abuzz on Saturday with the sound of motorbikes, motor vehicles of every shape and size and even rock’n’roll music.<\/p>\n

The Yarraman And District Progress Association’s Show & Shine attracted 81 cars and 19 motorbikes to the Yarraman Horse Sports Grounds beside the New England Highway,<\/p>\n

There was also a keenly contested tattoo competition.<\/p>\n

Judges, including Toowoomba mayor Paul Antonio, were kept busy looking over the various categories as rock’n’roll music echoed across the grounds (see Trophy Results, below).<\/strong><\/p>\n

The music attracted some keen dancers – some wearing 1950s gear – to a small dancefloor set up especially for the occasion.<\/p>\n

There was also a swap meet, market stalls and hot food available.<\/p>\n

The Show & Shine is a fundraiser for the Progress Association.<\/p>\n
