Artwork by former South Burnett resident Danielle Leedie has been selected to feature on this year’s National Reconciliation Week (May 27-June 3) poster.<\/p>\n

The striking pink poster has been popping up in advertisements and across the internet for the past few days.<\/p>\n

Danielle, who is now based in Ipswich, is an accomplished graphic artist who draws deeply upon her Bidjara and Wakka Wakka heritage.<\/p>\n

Her designs have been incorporated in a range of items over recent years, including textiles, murals, jewellery and greeting cards.<\/p>\n

For the National Reconciliation Week poster, Danielle has incorporated symbols of people travelling and gathering in a “Voice” bubble connecting generations.<\/strong><\/p>\n

She created the artwork in collaboration with Carbon Creative for Reconciliation Australia.<\/p>\n

“Reconciliation holds immense personal meaning for me, and I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to share my perspective,” she said.<\/p>\n
