The South Burnett Regional Council has been forced to close a disability toilet in Blackbutt for urgent repairs after vandals wrecked the facility.<\/p>\n

Council issued a public notice on Monday saying the toilet, in Les Muller Park, would be closed until further notice.<\/p>\n

Photographs released by Council show the extent of the damage.<\/p>\n

A fire appears to have been lit, melting some fittings and badly damaging others.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The facility will be re-opened once repairs have been completed.<\/b><\/p>\n

Earlier this month, Council called for community support to stop the mindless vandalism in the region, which was costing it thousands of dollars to repair.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson said public toilets had been the main target.<\/p>\n

Other recent incidents occurred at the public toilets in Butter Factory Park and Reg McCallum Park in Nanango.<\/p>\n
