{"id":331437,"date":"2023-04-28T11:09:10","date_gmt":"2023-04-28T01:09:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/?p=331437"},"modified":"2023-04-28T11:09:10","modified_gmt":"2023-04-28T01:09:10","slug":"covid-status-still-green","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/2023\/04\/28\/covid-status-still-green\/","title":{"rendered":"COVID Status Still &#8216;Green&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>April 28, 2023<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Almost 60 people have died with COVID-19 in Queensland so far in April, statistics released by Queensland Health on Friday show.<\/p>\n<p>Since March 31, there have been 59 deaths recorded in the State, taking the toll since the pandemic began to 2909.<\/p>\n<p>At midnight on Tuesday, there were 287 people being treated for COVID-19 in Queensland public hospitals,\u00a0 including two patients in intensive care.<\/p>\n<p><strong>However, the current &#8220;traffic light&#8221; alert status in Queensland is still &#8220;Green&#8221;.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This means there are still low rates of community transmission despite reports of a new sub-variant of Omicron,\u00a0 XBB.1.16 or &#8220;Arcturus&#8221;, circulating.<\/p>\n<p>All adults can get a booster vaccination if it has been been six months or more since their last COVID-19 vaccination, or confirmed COVID-19 infection.<\/p>\n<p>The Federal Department of Health and Aged Care has particularly recommended a booster for people at higher risk of severe illness, ie. those aged 65 years or older; or 18 years or older with medical conditions, disability or complex health needs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Almost 60 people have died with COVID-19 in Queensland so far in April, statistics released by Queensland Health on Friday show.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":20,"featured_media":311967,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[1455,3],"tags":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v19.11 -
