South Burnett Gem and Fossicking Club\u2019s fourth annual gem show sparkled on the weekend at Wondai Sportsground.<\/p>\n

This is the second year that the club has held its annual two-day show at Wondai, and this time there were even more attractions than before.<\/p>\n

Club president Lionel Woodrow told\u00a0southburnett.com.au<\/strong> about 40 stallholders had booked in.<\/p>\n

There were precious and semi-precious gem stones available to buy as well as petrified wood, minerals, crystals,\u00a0 jewellery and fossils.<\/p>\n

Club members also manned a stand where children could “fossick” for gems and watch agate thunder eggs being cut open.<\/p>\n

Stalls were erected around the edge of the oval and inside the Lions Pavilion, where hot food was also being dished out by Lions’ volunteers.<\/p>\n

There were also lucky door prizes to be won plus lucky dips and raffles.<\/p>\n

Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington, who spoke at the official opening on Saturday, praised the club for the amount of visitors they were bringing to the South Burnett every year.<\/p>\n
