Is the Blackbutt Police Station safe for the staff who work there?\u00a0 Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington doesn’t think so.<\/p>\n

The MP has asked a Question on Notice in State Parliament about the building, claiming the police officers stationed there have unsafe working conditions.<\/p>\n

Mrs Frecklington said she had visited the police station recently and had seen firsthand the difficult work conditions experienced by the staff.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe building itself is decrepit, tiny and no longer fit-for-purpose,\u201d Mrs Frecklington said.<\/p>\n

\u201cMost importantly, it is not safe for the police officers who must often share their workspace with the same people they may have just detained.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThe building is not functional and has severe limitations for the four officers who are now permanently stationed at Blackbutt.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve asked a Question on Notice to the Police Minister seeking answers about whether there are any plans to build a new police station.<\/p>\n
