Sunshine Coast artist Joel Fergie will be sharing his skills with six young South Burnett artists<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

March 2, 2023<\/strong><\/p>\n

Award-winning mural artist Joel Fergie – aka “The Zookeeper” – is coming to Kingaroy soon to start work on the region’s latest outdoor artwork.<\/p>\n

But the Kingaroy project, which aims to reinvigorate Hector Munro Lane, also includes a great workshop opportunity for six of the region’s young artists!<\/p>\n

South Burnett CTC will be hosting a mural workshop on March 11 with Joel at their graffiti wall next to the Youth Park in Somerset Street, Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

The six artists selected will enjoy a hands-on experience with Joel as well as create a great new mural at the skate park.<\/p>\n

Applications are invited from artists aged 12 to 24.<\/p>\n

If you are interested in taking part in this great opportunity, email<\/a> Kate McCormack at CTC by Tuesday, March 7.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Also include a photograph of any recent artwork you have created.<\/p>\n

The six successful applicants will be notified by phone.<\/p>\n

The workshop and laneway mural project is being sponsored by Stanwell’s Tarong Community Partnership Fund and auspiced by South Burnett Arts Inc.<\/p>\n
