The new-look Reef’n’Beef, hosted by the Coolabunia State School P&C, has lived up to the high standards set by its popular predecessor at Ironpot Hall.<\/p>\n

P&C secretary Vicki Trace said the night was booked out and everything went very smoothly.<\/p>\n

“We are happily surprised by how it all went for our first attempt,” Vicki said.<\/p>\n

Diners filled the undercover sports area on Saturday night, enjoying fresh seafood and barbecued beef.<\/p>\n

Local entertainer Amber Goldsmith – who’s also a proud Coolabunia SS mum – provided the live music.<\/p>\n

P&C volunteers kept the bar well-stocked all night.<\/p>\n

Vicki said the P&C had received really good feedback about the food.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cr Scott Henschen, who was part of the Ironpot organising committee in past years, said he had offered advice whenever he could during the lead-up to the night.<\/p>\n

The original Reef’n’Beef was last held in 2020.<\/p>\n

Cr Henschen said he was very happy when the P&C had approached him and said they would like to run the 2023 event.<\/p>\n

Funds raised on the night will be put towards new playground equipment for the school.<\/p>\n
