South Burnett firefighters were kept busy in very hot weather over the weekend, called to a string of local incidents.<\/p>\n

The biggest blaze was near T.H. Burns Road at Ballogie.<\/p>\n

Rural firies were called on Sunday morning to a large grass fire which spread into bushland.<\/p>\n

Nine fire crews brought the blaze under control in blustery conditions.<\/p>\n

Firefighters were continuing to patrol the area on Monday.<\/p>\n

On Saturday evening, Cherbourg firefighters were called to two incidents in Fisher Street just after 8:20pm.<\/p>\n

They quickly extinguished two rubbish fires which had been set about 20 metres apart.<\/p>\n

Fire crews were also called to a vegetation fire in Millers Road at Booie.<\/p>\n

On Sunday afternoon, firies were called to vegetation fires at Booie Road, Booie, Buttsworth Road, Goodger; and Murray Road, Cherbourg.<\/p>\n

About 2:15am on Monday, urban and rural units were called to the Kingaroy Waste Transfer Station in Luck Road at Inverlaw to bring a tip fire under control.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Smoke from this incident could be seen across Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

At 10:20am on Monday, Cherbourg crews were briefly back in action to extinguish a burning fence in Wragge Street.<\/p>\n

And then on Monday afternoon, firefighters were called to incidents at Keith Shaw Drive, Kingaroy; White Rock Road, Goodger; and near Gayndah Road \/ Ogdens Boundary Road at Windera.<\/p>\n

The Windera fire was still being patrolled on Monday evening.<\/p>\n

Just before 6:30pm on Monday, fire crews were called back into action to attend a vegetation fire near Memerambi-Barkers Creek Road at Wattle Camp.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
