An idle thought one day culminated in more than 220 cars – and even more spectators – turning up to enjoy a free show’n’shine in Kingaroy last Sunday.<\/p>\n

“I was sitting at home whingeing that there was nothing to do with our cars in town,” Motors’N’Mochas Kingaroy founder Paul Zenovich told southburnett.com.au<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

“So I decided to reach out to a few people who had cool cars, and they reached out to a few more people …”<\/p>\n

The first Motors’N’Mochas was held in mid-2022 and attracted 150 vehicles.<\/p>\n

The second outing on Sunday proved to be even bigger.<\/p>\n

It was held at the Kingaroy & District Vintage Machinery Club grounds, near Kingaroy Airport.<\/p>\n

Paul said he had contacted a few car clubs and vehicles had rolled in from across the region, Dalby and Toowoomba.<\/p>\n

Next time, he’s hoping there’ll be vehicles coming in from the Sunshine Coast and even further.<\/p>\n

He’s hoping to hold a Motors’N’Mochas every three months or so, although a date hasn’t been set for the next event yet.<\/p>\n

It’s not a competition and anything that’s interesting can come along …<\/p>\n

“If you’re proud of it, you can bring it along and show it,” Paul said.<\/p>\n

And the best thing about it?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Paul organised for local food vendors to come along to sell coffee and burgers, and there were raffles for fuel vouchers to help him cover costs.<\/p>\n

As well, a bucket was passed around for voluntary donations to support the Vintage Machinery club, but apart from that, everything else was free for both exhibitors and visitors!<\/p>\n
