Two people were airlifted to hospital in a serious condition after a collision between a truck and a ute on the D’Aguilar Highway south of Yarraman on Thursday afternoon.<\/p>\n

A third person, believed to be the male driver of the truck, was taken by ambulance to Kingaroy Hospital in a stable condition with minor injuries<\/p>\n

Emergency services were called to the incident at 2:43pm.<\/p>\n

When they arrived, they found a ute lying on its side down a steep embankment,<\/p>\n

QFES crews used cutting equipment to free one occupant from the wrecked vehicle.<\/p>\n

A QFES spokesperson said the occupant was freed and handed into the care of QAS paramedics about 3:45pm.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A woman aged in her 40s was airlifted from the scene to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a serious condition with chest injuries.<\/p>\n

A man, also aged in his 40s, was airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane in a serious condition with suspected back and abdominal injuries.<\/p>\n

Traffic on the highway was delayed while emergency services attended the scene, with police directing traffic.<\/p>\n

The site was eventually fully cleared by 9:00pm.<\/p>\n
