Staff and students at Kingaroy State High School were safely evacuated to the school oval on Wednesday morning after reports of a possible fire at the complex.<\/p>\n

Three fire crews and a senior officer were called to the school after reports of a strong smell of electrical burning.<\/p>\n

However, the firefighters could find no sign of fire.<\/p>\n

A QFES spokesperson said a contractor had been working at the site at the time.<\/p>\n

After the all-clear was given, all students returned to their classes.<\/p>\n

QAS paramedics, police and Ergon crews also attended the incident as a precaution.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday afternoon, fire crews were called at 1:19pm to a large grass fire burning on Aerodrome Road at Taabinga.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Firefighters managed to stop the flames from spreading into nearby bushland.<\/p>\n

Fire crews were also in action for several hours on Tuesday afternoon and evening tackling a vegetation fire burning near Fisher Street in Cherbourg.<\/p>\n
