Combined Agents yarded just short of 700 in Murgon on Tuesday (January 31).<\/p>\n

The market for all descriptions was slightly cheaper yet again.<\/p>\n

Better quality cattle are now attracting the best out of what is a sliding market.<\/p>\n

Heavy bulls sold to $2.62 per kilogram and $2500. Cows over 500kg sold to $3.05 per kilogram and $2060, averaging $2.85.<\/p>\n

Cows 400-500kg topped at $3.00 per kilogram for $1460.<\/p>\n

Cows under 400kg sold to $2.42.<\/p>\n

Export heifers sold to $3.46 per kilogram and $1820.<\/p>\n

Cattle were drawn from Gayndah, Mt Perry, Kingaroy, Nanango, Kilkivan and local areas.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A draft of 30 Santa\/Angus cross steers from Johnstown topped the feeder steer market at $3.79 c\/kg, averaging 447kg and $1700.<\/p>\n

405kg Santa steers from Byee sold for $1520 and $3.76 c\/kg. Angus cross steers 345kg sold for $1550.00 at $4.48 c\/kg.<\/p>\n

395kg Brangus steers from Hivesville sold for $3.86 c\/kg returning $1530.<\/p>\n

Droughtmaster cross steers from Tansey sold for $4.34 c\/kg for $1233; and $4.26 c\/kg for $1340.<\/p>\n

Braford weaner steers from Wondai sold to $5.16 c\/kg for $1396.<\/p>\n

Charbray weaner steers from Mt Perry sold for $1080 at $5.00 c\/kg.<\/p>\n

Speckled Park cross steers from Wondai sold for $4.58 c\/kg returning $1260.<\/p>\n

Euro cross heifers from Murgon sold for $3.56 weighed 400kg and returned $1437.<\/strong><\/p>\n

355kg Angus heifers from Booubyjan sold for 3.80 c\/kg returning $1350.<\/p>\n

Angus cross heifers from Stonelands sold for $1226 at $4.00 c\/kg.<\/p>\n

Shorthorn cross heifers from Nanango sold for $3.98 c\/kg returning $1267.<\/p>\n

Charbray weaner heifers from Proston sold to $5.40 c\/kg and $1280.<\/p>\n

Crossbred cows and calves sold to $2175.<\/p>\n

The next Murgon sale will be held on Tuesday, February 14, at 8:00am.<\/strong><\/p>\n
