A series of free grant-writing workshops for artists will be held in the South Burnett and Gympie regions next month.<\/p>\n

The workshops, led by well-known former South Burnett artist Olivia Everitt, will be held in Goomeri, Kingaroy, Murgon and Gympie (see details below).<\/p>\n

Olivia, who is now based at Imbil, said the workshops had been fully subsidised by grants from the Gympie and South Burnett regional councils’ Regional Arts Development Fund programs.<\/p>\n

“I have over 10 years\u2019 experience in preparing grant applications for artists, organisations, festivals and projects in the arts and cultural sector so this is an opportunity to share tried and tested methods to attract grant funding with participants,” Olivia said.<\/p>\n

“Having lived and worked in both the South Burnett and Gympie regions since 2017, I\u2019m passionate about seeing increased investment in our local creative talent.\u201d<\/p>\n

She said the workshops would be suitable for artists, arts organisations, festivals, event managers, arts workers and creative businesses.<\/p>\n

“No prior grant writing experience is necessary,” Olivia said.<\/p>\n
