January 18, 2023<\/strong><\/p>\n

South Burnett Regional Council is calling on young people who want to have a greater say and help build a strong and inclusive community to nominate for the 2023 South Burnett Regional Youth Council.<\/p>\n

This follows the successful launch of the SBRC’s first Youth Council last year which was involved in multiple events, including organising the PigJam concert which ran alongside BaconFest in Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

A Council spokesperson said the Youth Council would be made up of a diverse group of up to 20 motivated young people aged between 14 and 24 who live in the South Burnett or Cherbourg.<\/p>\n

It will meet regularly and advocate for the needs of the young people who live in our communities.<\/p>\n

Members will help organise youth and community events, take part in leadership forums and self-development activities. They will also get a great insight into how local government works.<\/p>\n
