December 16, 2022<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kingaroy Police Station has invited members of the public to attend a short vigil on Monday for murdered police officers Constable Matthew Arnold and Constable Rachel McCrow.<\/p>\n

The two officers were killed in the line of service on December 12.<\/p>\n

Constables Arnold and McCrow, from Tara police station, were shot dead when they made a \u201croutine\u201d missing persons inquiry at a property in Wains Road at Wieambilla on Monday afternoon.<\/p>\n

Two Chinchilla police officers, Constable Randall Kirk and Constable Keeley Brough, managed to escape, although Constable Kirk was wounded.<\/p>\n

A neighbour, Alan Dare, was shot dead when he came to investigate a fire, apparently set to flush out Constable Brough.<\/p>\n

A short service will be held at the Kingaroy Police Station flagpole from 10:00am, followed by a minute’s silence.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Everyone who wishes to pay their respects have been invited to join police in commemorating the fallen officers.<\/p>\n
