Toowoomba Regional Council\u2019s Farnoosh Shokoofan has been named Queensland Young Planner of the Year at the Planning Institute Australia’s\u00a0 2022 Queensland Awards for Planning Excellence.<\/p>\n

Cr Megan O\u2019Hara-Sullivan said it was wonderful to see staff from the Toowoomba Region winning a prestigious award such as this.<\/p>\n

\u201cFarnoosh is passionate, comprehensive and has a strong ethical foundation in her approach to being a planner and urban designer,\u201d Cr O\u2019Hara-Sullivan said.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe is an amazing human being and I\u2019m so proud to have someone of her ability in our team at Toowoomba Regional Council.”<\/p>\n

Farnoosh has been part of the TRC’s Strategic Planning and Economic Development Branch for three years.<\/p>\n

\u201cFarnoosh is now part of the Regional Architecture and Heritage Branch where she will continue building on her skills and knowledge while providing strategic advice to the industry, community and Council on heritage architecture, design and building certification matters,” Cr Bill Cahill said.<\/p>\n
