Both South Burnett teams are through to the semi-finals of the Gympie A Grade One-Day competition after Round 10 was finalised last weekend.<\/p>\n

Fourth-placed Murgon Crusaders will take on second-placed Gympie Harlequins on Saturday, while ladder leaders Gympie Colts will play third-placed Wooroolin Warriors.<\/p>\n

Both games will be played in Gympie.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Last Saturday, Wooroolin Warriors (5\/324) defeated Gympie Valleys (78 all out) by 246 runs in a devastating display at Lyle Vidler Oval in Kingaroy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Warriors won the toss and batted first.<\/p>\n

Most players made a start but captain Kieran Askin starred, hitting 88 runs in 86 minutes, including 15 fours and one six.<\/p>\n

James Whiteman added a very useful 60 runs.<\/p>\n

In reply, Valleys were bowled out in the 22nd over.<\/p>\n

Nikolas Heness (3\/11 off 3.2 overs), Taylor Herrmann (2\/19 off five), Tyler Heness (2\/19 off five) and Kyron Tunstall (2\/21 off five) were lethal for Warriors.<\/p>\n

Murgon Crusaders didn’t lose a wicket while taking down Gympie Royals in a low-scoring game at Murgon Sportsground.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Murgon won the toss and sent Royals in to bat.<\/p>\n

The visitors were all out for just 97 runs in the 36th over.<\/p>\n

Six Murgon bowlers took wickets but Brenton Polzin (2\/5 off three) and Riley Sippel (2\/19 off five) finished with the best figures.<\/p>\n

In reply, Crusaders hit their way to 98 in just 11 overs.<\/p>\n

Zac Dann (51 not out) and Lachlan Zelinksi (33 not out) made short work of the target.<\/p>\n

  • Kingaroy Services Blue (5\/243) def. Kingaroy Services Orange (156 all out) by 87 runs at Taabinga State School.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Blue won the toss and batted first.<\/p>\n

    Lachlan Watson (81) and Tim Blanch (52) added most of the runs.<\/p>\n

    Sam Wilson (2\/34 off seven) and Ryan Jacobs (1\/15 off eight, including three maidens) had the best bowling figures for Orange.<\/p>\n

    In reply, Orange fell short in the 39th over.<\/p>\n

    Joshua Unverzagt (38 not out) and Thomas Hoare (30) were best with the bat.<\/p>\n

    Archie Black (4\/17 off seven) and Trevor Black (2\/14 off four) were Blue’s best bowlers.<\/p>\n

    • Nanango Yellow (2\/178) def. Wooroolin Warriors (176 all out) by eight wickets at Alan Downie Sports Fields, Nanango.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Warriors won the toss and batted first.<\/p>\n

      Jackson Kerkow (56) and James Searle (30) top-scored for Wooroolin.<\/p>\n

      For Nanango, Jay Steinhardt took 5\/14 off 5.4 and\u00a0 Joe Steinhardt 2\/12 off six.<\/p>\n

      In reply, Ben Greenslade (84 not out) and Joe Steinhardt (62 not out) made short work of the Warriors’ attack.<\/p>\n

      Nanango overtook the target in the 27th over for the loss of just two wickets.<\/p>\n

      These were taken by Stewart Lavaring (1\/39 off 6.3) and John Schultz (1\/36 off eight).<\/p>\n

      • At Murgon Sportsground,\u00a0Murgon (8\/195) def. Wondai (79 all out) by 116 runs.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Murgon won the toss and batted first.<\/p>\n

        Opener Byron Kratzmann (46) and Jaden Heness (31) were the top scorers.<\/p>\n

        Kimberley Barrett (3\/18 off five) and Torren Anderton (3\/41 off eight) were Wondai’s best bowlers.<\/p>\n

        In reply, Wondai were all out in the 22nd over.<\/p>\n

        Lyndon Hopkins (35) and Ryan Kelly (20) top-scored for Wondai.<\/p>\n

        Jamian Currin (5\/24 off eight) and Jack Webber (3\/6 off 2.2) proved too strong for Wondai.<\/p>\n

        • Tingoora Vikings (4\/185) def. Nanango Purple (7\/181) by six wickets at Murgon Sportsground.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Nanango won the toss and batted first.<\/p>\n

          Openers Lachlan Cullen (49) and Lawson Black (34) got Nanango off to a promising start.<\/p>\n

          Bowling honours were shared around for Tingoora but Bradley Moore (2\/22 off seven) and Bede Stapleton (1\/9 off three) finished with the best figures.<\/p>\n

          In reply, Tingoora Vikings made the target in the 35th over.<\/p>\n

          Keegan Wright (63 not out) and Tavis Hartwig (62 not out) provided the necessary runs.<\/p>\n

          Oscar Dioth (2\/30 off five) and Lawson Black (1\/39 off 7.4) were Nanango’s best bowlers.<\/p>\n

          The first round of the South Burnett T20 competition will get under way next week. <\/strong><\/p>\n
