November 21, 2022<\/strong><\/p>\n

A woman aged in her 50s was airlifted to hospital after a single-vehicle crash on Googa Creek Road at Blackbutt South on Sunday morning.<\/p>\n

Emergency crews were called to the incident, on a gravel road, about 11:45am.<\/p>\n

The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was also despatched, and was able to land nearby.<\/p>\n

QFES crew and QAS paramedics were already on the scene, working to free the driver from her car.<\/p>\n

An RACQ LifeFlight spokesperson said a passenger and two dogs that were also in the vehicle appeared to have escaped unhurt.<\/p>\n

The female driver was flown to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital with suspected hand and arm injuries.<\/p>\n

The driver of a 4WD was transported by helicopter to hospital in a critical condition after a single-vehicle crash on the Brisbane Valley Highway early on Sunday morning.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Paramedics, including a critical care paramedic and High Acuity Response Unit, were called to the incident at Wanora at 1:16am.<\/p>\n

A police spokesperson said Forensic Crash Unit investigations revealed the Toyota Hilux was headed north when it ran off the highway and struck a tree.<\/p>\n

The driver and sole occupant – a 32-year-old man – was initially trapped in the wreckage and had to be cut free by QFES personnel.<\/p>\n

He was flown to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.<\/p>\n
