{"id":326664,"date":"2022-11-18T19:12:33","date_gmt":"2022-11-18T09:12:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/?p=326664"},"modified":"2022-11-19T01:15:59","modified_gmt":"2022-11-18T15:15:59","slug":"council-to-offer-10-traineeships-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/2022\/11\/18\/council-to-offer-10-traineeships-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Council To Offer 10 Traineeships"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>November 18, 2022<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>South Burnett Regional Council is again partnering with the Local Government Association of Queensland and the State Government to offer 10 one-year traineeships.<\/p>\n<p>The traineeships will be advertised on Council\u2019s website on January 12.<\/p>\n<p>Applicants will be able to apply through seek.com.au by selecting the link provided on Council\u2019s Employment page.<\/p>\n<p>This training is funded by the State Government through its First Start program under the Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative.<\/p>\n<p>First Start provides wage subsidies to local councils and community-based organisations to employ extra trainees.<\/p>\n<p>The program offers opportunities to young people and disadvantaged job seekers to gain nationally recognised qualifications and 12 months employment by undertaking a traineeship.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Participants must be:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Queensland residents<\/li>\n<li>Aged 15 years or older and no longer attending school<\/li>\n<li>Able to meet citizen, residency and visa requirements to undertake a traineeship<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key target groups are:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Young people (aged 15-24), including those in and transitioned from out-of-home care<\/li>\n<li>Long-term unemployed job seekers<\/li>\n<li>Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people<\/li>\n<li>Mature-age job seekers (45 years or older)<\/li>\n<li>Migrants and refugees from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds<\/li>\n<li>People with disability<\/li>\n<li>Displaced workers<\/li>\n<li>Women re-entering the workforce<\/li>\n<li>Veterans, ex-ADF personnel and their families.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The traineeships offer a pathway that leads to real qualifications and future job opportunities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For more information contact Council\u2019s People and Culture team on 1300-789-279.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>South Burnett Regional Council is again partnering with the LGAQ and the State Government to offer 10 one-year traineeships.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":20,"featured_media":257952,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[5,22,3],"tags":[1131],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v19.11 -
