A new 20-lot residential subdivision in Nanango has been approved by the South Burnett Regional Council.<\/p>\n

At October’s monthly general meeting, Councillors reviewed an application lodged by Alison and Blake Hedge to reconfigure a vacant lot into 20 fully serviced residential lots.<\/p>\n

The subdivision would be built at the end of Player Street, off Fairview Drive, 2km north-west of Nanango’s CBD.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The owners would need to build a new road to service the 20 lots, as well as 1.5m footpaths along one side of Player Street and the subdivision’s new road.<\/p>\n

They would also need to install street lighting, connect the estate to the Council’s water and sewerage systems and adhere to a wide range of other standard conditions governing modern subdivision developments in the region.<\/p>\n

Councillors were told the couple have as long as four years to begin work on the project before their development approval lapses.<\/strong><\/p>\n

However, if they complete it by next December they will be able to obtain a substantial discount on infrastructure charges through the Council’s development incentive scheme.<\/p>\n

The Player Street project is the first substantial residential subdivision in Nanango in more than a decade.<\/p>\n

The motion to approve the project was moved by Cr Kirstie Schumacher, seconded by Cr Kathy Duff and carried unanimously.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
