A $500,000 reward was announced on Wednesday by police investigating the death of Krishna Chopra, 61, at Crows Nest in January.<\/p>\n

Detectives involved in the joint investigation by the Toowoomba CIB and the Homicide Investigation Group are hopeful the reward will bring in new information to assist them in their investigations.<\/p>\n

On January 31, 61-year-old Krishna Chopra was found dead inside her home on Park Road, Crows Nest.<\/p>\n

Detective Senior Sergeant Paul McCusker said police believed there were people in the community who could have information about Ms Chopra’s death\u00a0 and that “another person or persons were involved in the planning of this offence”.<\/p>\n

\u201cI urge anyone who has not already come forward, who may have had an association with Ms Chopra or visited her house at 5 Park Road, Crows Nest, to come forward,\u201d Det Snr Sgt McCusker said.<\/p>\n

As well, anyone who was in the Park Road area of Crows Nest on January 20, 21 or 22 have been asked to contact police to discuss their observations and movements.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The $500,000 reward has been offered for information that leads to the conviction of the person (or people) found to be responsible for Ms Chopra\u2019s death.<\/p>\n

An indemnity from prosecution will also be recommended for any accomplice, not being the person who actually committed the crime, who first gives such information.<\/p>\n

In March, a 33-year-old man was charged in connection with the death following a number of public appeals for information, however investigations are continuing.<\/p>\n
