Blackbutt has a proud history of producing champion axemen … but now a woman has added her name to the town’s record books!<\/p>\n

Anne Paterson, from Blackbutt, took out the inaugural Queensland Women\u2019s Champion of Champions trophy at the recent Brisbane Ekka.<\/p>\n

She was also named the Most Successful Lady Competitor after being placed in multiple competitions.<\/p>\n

The Male Champion of Champions trophy was awarded to Jake Dingle, from Mundubbera.<\/p>\n

Several national titles were also contested at the Ekka.<\/p>\n

Proston’s Bryan Wagner took out the 325mm Australian Tree Felling title before a big crowd in the woodchopping arena.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Blackbutt’s Jack Argent came in fifth spot.<\/p>\n
