The old saying that ‘mud brings money’ turned out to be true at Saturday’s Bunya Droughtmaster Bull Sale.<\/p>\n

In all, 81 bulls were put up for auction at the Coolabunia Saleyards, with most selling for an average of $11,025.<\/p>\n

However, two bulls achieved the day’s top price of $20,000. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The first of these was Lot 4 – Nindethana Melvin – a 22-month-old weighing in at 776kg which was offered by Nindethana Pastoral from Camp Mountain. <\/p>\n

The second was Lot 42 – By-Mingo Uric – another 22-month-old weighing 740kg which was put up for bids by By-Mingo Droughtmaster Stud from Coalstoun Lakes.<\/p>\n

Despite heavy rain the day before the sale and wet conditions on Saturday, the grandstands at the Saleyards were packed with buyers and vendors. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The sale was conducted by Aussie Land & Livestock and GDL, with Elite Livestock Auctions streaming the event online. <\/p>\n

Auctioneering duties were shared by Corey Evans (AL&L) and Mark Duthie (GDL).<\/p>\n
