The Queensland Academy of Sport is looking for talented young South Burnett sportspeople to be part of the Youfor2032 Talent Identification Program in the lead-up to the 2032 Olympics and Paralympics.<\/p>\n

Its Youfor2032 program provides support to young athletes so they can make the very best out of their natural sporting gifts.<\/p>\n

Selection means they will receive dedicated development, training, and expert coaching programs in their chosen sport.<\/p>\n

The Youfor2032 program will be offering places for the South Burnett’s young sports people very soon.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sessions will be held at St John\u2019s Lutheran School in Ivy Street, Kingaroy on Wednesday, August 31 at 4:00pm; and at Cherbourg’s Sports Centre in Collins Street, Cherbourg on Thursday, September 1 at 1:30pm and 4:00pm.<\/p>\n

Taliqua Clancy, the South Burnett’s Olympic Beach Volleyball silver medallist and twice Commonwealth Games silver medallist will be attending all three sessions.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This Youfor2032 program is strictly for young sports people born between 1999 and 2009 (ie 13 to 23 years old in 2022), and the para-sports program will accept those born between 1992 and 2009 (i.e. 13 to 30 years old in 2022).<\/p>\n

Intending participants should arrive to the sessions 15 minutes early, and parents are very welcome as well.<\/p>\n
